Shaping platform features and systems for the internal tools ecosystem.
I joined Dott as a designer on the internal tools team in mid-2021. Dott operates a shared electric scooter and bike fleet across Europe. My responsibilities included designing iterative and 0-to-1 features, developing high-level systems and crafting design systems spanning across mobile and web experiences.
During my time there I helped to improve the efficiency of our operations team, designed feature that allowed us to grow the fleet by over 10k vehicles and helped to streamline complex core workflows for our internal users.

Rider zone management
Rider zone management
As Dott had scaled, the requirements for our regions, zones and spots interface had increased in complexity.
To increase efficiency for our users, we redesigned the interface and included much-requested functionality.
The outcome was an interface that would allow us to keep scaling and decrease manual interventions by engineering.

Product design principles
Product design principles
To maintain design consistency, it was crucial to have a shared understanding. I drove the initiative to establish product design principles within the team, which served as the basis for all of our design choices.

File management
File management
As Dott had grown its fleet, updating firmware files had become a complicated and time-consuming operation.
To tackle this problem, we built a simple CRUD (create, read, update, delete) interface that sped up the hardware team's workflow.

File organization & design systems
I led efforts to adopt best practices for file organization, navigation and status that benefitted the team.
Building and maintaining a design system for both mobile and web platforms allowed us to preserve design quality and consistency.

Warehouse filtering
Warehouse filtering
As our fleet grew, we added multiple warehouses in each city. This lead to confusion as to which and how many vehicles were in any one warehouse at a given time.
We worked with the Operations team to understand what parameters were important to them. Then we defined how filtering should work within our design system on mobile. The outcome allowed the team to better track and predict future needs of our fleet.
