Instacart provides same-day grocery delivery and pick-up services across North America. I joined the Delivery Logistics team in mid-2019 and worked on improving experiences within our native mobile apps.
In addition, I collaborated closely with cross-functional partners to set roadmaps, define processes and execute high-level designs across multiple parallel projects.
What I worked on greatly helped to improve important metrics, such as Activations and Lates, while transforming the experience for how Shoppers accept work.

Changing the working model
We improved the process of accepting orders by proposing a new experience where shoppers are shown a single order to accept or decline. This reduced competition and provided shoppers with sufficient time to evaluate important factors.
After testing the model nationwide, we observed a decline in support tickets and late orders, and a better shopping experience in high-supply areas.

Becoming compliant with mandatory trainings
Prop 22, a California ballot measure, mandated safety and other trainings. We launched the safety training feature for all users, repurposing a similar app experience to meet the tight timeline and become compliant.

design system
I was a part of the cross-functional team to lead the rollout of our new design system across the platform. I worked with stakeholders and teams to set timelines and supervise progress and created a tracking system in Figma.
