Handshake is an employment marketplace connecting Employers to Students. I led the exploration of northstar concepts for an outdated and underperforming experience: Job Creation. I oversaw research and design workstreams to reimagine the Job Creation experience end-to-end, from layout and content to UX and visual design.

Data showed a high drop rate throughout the flow. Separate qualitative research revealed it failed to communicate the importance and function of certain fields, leading to low-quality job posts.

Reimagine the Job Creation experience to educate Employers about the functionality and value throughout the process. This should result in more high-quality job posts, attracting more student applications and decreasing the drop rate in the creation flow.

This complex and multifaceted project extended beyond basic UI/UX design to include research, project management, content framework, and roadmap creation. I would need to develop comprehensive frameworks and systems for content, IA, and form usage to meet the established goals.

Due to the complexity and confusion of the original 4-step flow, I made the counterintuitive decision to increase the number of steps. This simplification of each step, along with context-specific content, led to higher completion rates.
